minor characters

The minor character that I find most intriguing would have to be baby Marcus. He has been crying for the last 30 years and that he's supposed to talk about his life if he ever wants to be "lightened". I find him intriguing because I wonder what he could be trying to say. However, I think his mother's, Mrs. Livingston, confession about how she killed him might have something to do with his crying. I wonder if at the end of the book he'll find a way to tell his story and be able to stop crying.
