minor characters
The minor character that I find most intriguing would have to be baby Marcus. He has been crying for the last 30 years and that he's supposed to talk about his life if he ever wants to be "lightened". I find him intriguing because I wonder what he could be trying to say. However, I think his mother's, Mrs. Livingston, confession about how she killed him might have something to do with his crying. I wonder if at the end of the book he'll find a way to tell his story and be able to stop crying.

taking stock of my work
1. How well did you tell the story?
I told a couple different stories in my narrative but I don't think I made it too confusing for the reader. I didn't go into too much detail about the stories but just enough for the reader to understand what I was trying to say.
2. What did you do especially well?
I thought my title was pretty creative. I also liked my conclusion because it contained the significance of the whole paper.
3. What could still be improved?
I could work on using more details, descriptions about the characters and maybe incorporate some dialogue.
4. How did you go about coming up with ideas and generating text?
Once we were given the topic of what to write about several ideas just came to mind. Then, I organized them and elaborated on them.
5. How did you go about drafting your narrative?
I actually write the whole first draft all at once, the night before it was do. Then after we had the peer editing sessions I made changes to my first draft.
6. Did you use photographs or any other graphics? What did they add? Can you think of graphics you might have used?
---
7. How did others' responses influence your writing?
Through the peer editing sessions I got a log of helpful comments/suggestions that influenced my paper. Seeing how others viewed my paper helped me fix things up and change things around to make it better.
8. What would you do differently next time?
I don’t think I'll write my first draft all at once the night before it's due.

my dash
I think it's ironic that a small dash is the part that tells the true meaning of your life. I've loved a lot of people and I've done a lot of things for it all to be represented by a little dash. The people that come first in my life is my family. I'd do absoloutly anything for them. I considered myself so blessed to be a part of such a loving family and I wouldn't change anything about them for the world. I love my boyfriend because without him I'd pretty much be a lost cause. I have the best friends that I wouldn't trade for anything. These are the people that truely understand me and love me unconditionally.
I appreciate not only all of the advantages I have in my life but the people who have made it possible for me to be where I am today. I went to catholic school my whole life and so my parents made really big sacrafices to make that possible for me. I appreacite all the teachers I've had because working on a catholic school salary is not much at all compared to a public school salary. I appreciate the people who go out of their way to make me feel important.
I've always been taught that respect is earned and not just given. Respect is a big deal to me. I expect to be given it in return of me showing it and I don't think that's much to ask.
